something I HATE

I hate when the weather gets colder for one main reason.
I love it for the cooler air and the changing leaves (there aren't any to see here but in other places)
but when it gets cold outside...

.....some uninvited guests come inside out of the cold!

Those guys I hate!

Today McGirl screamed and begged me to come see the mouse in the other room. Honestly I was pretty sure that it would have run away. Cause that's what they do.
Well this one was in the middle of the room in plain sight and didn't run away.

So we got a old jar and caught it. It must not be very healthy if it was just sitting there to be caught, for dad to dispose of later.

now the girls think it is a novelty to observe.

OOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh grrroh-sssssss! YUCKY

Pretty faces!

She asked me for Ariel Hair. She asked for Pretty princess ponies.
She wanted curled bangs.
What pretty faces on such pretty girls.

It is amazing how angelic they are after baths and getting their hair done.
Being Sunday we have a mommy do every bodies hair schedule. Today I had special requests.
Juju was really sad after the effort to have to stay home with mama. I am on antibiotics, but still coughing and blowing my nose definitely not stuff other people want to be around, see or listen to. Eewww yuck. Especially since I am a nursery leader at church and I am with the little 18 month and 2 year old kiddos. Though they probably shared with me first, LOL.Here is the back view of my Lily girls hair.

Powder.... and more Powder!

Pictures say it all don't they....
My kids have gone crazy to play with POWDER.
Even though she is telling me with her big lower lip that she is sad... sad she got caught that is.
She can't help but lick her face and her fingers because they taste so good!
Earlier this month another mess with POWDER occurred.
This one involving a medicated powder that smelled minty.
Sadly at that stage of pregnancy with the smells, I was trying my darn-dest to not throw up!
If you spill it you Clean it!
Deep breath....
on second thought skip the deep breath~ with powdery stuff you'll choke! LOL!

I love you!

Eight Years together.
Eight things I love about you.
Your gorgeous blue Eyes, especially when they are full of adoration for me or the girls.
Spending time with you. Even time spent together showing me how to drive the tractor, it was time spent together.
I love talking to you. You always have interesting things to say.
Your love of family
your honor,
your loyalty,
Your Faith,
your heart, it's always trying.... that means you never give up and I love that about you.

Happy Anniversary September 14th
We should have took pictures Sunday because we were both 'dressed to the nines'.
Oh well. I had a really good hair day and no record of it... sigh.. yes, it's vain of me I know.
Saturday night L took me out to dinner at Hibachi Grill. Yummy.
I love Unagi and spicy tuna, sushi is yummy. They always grill up everything so delicious too! I wished I could have eaten more than my current condition will allow. It was so much fun. After dinner we noted the time 8:30 or so early without kids (my wonderful mom and sister had them over night) and we thought we could take in a movie. But nothing was showing until 10:15 and I get really tired being pregnant. So we went home and watched 'Just like Heaven', with Reese Witherspoon. It was a great night. It was very quiet, no 3am kiddo crawling in bed with us either. A very nice Anniversary!

We went camping this summer. Our oldest daughter drew a picture of the event.

Big NOTE; the parents aren't smiling! LOL!!!!
....oh boy do they pick up on the smallest of details.

Appropriate for Sunday FHE

I loved this great lesson and I decided I will have to give it a try! Here's my inspiration spot Chocolate on my Cranium, check it out for more details.
Besides the great learning moment you get to eat an Ice cream Sundae!

You display various condiments BBQ sauce, Ketchup, mustard, and foods you kids like -macaroni, chips and pepperoni (my kids love pepperoni and love noodles so much they eat them dry from the bag)
ask them each if they like these things They will say yes.

Then scoop up Ice cream and ask them each which toppings they want macaroni or Ketchup ect.
"I know you like it, why don't you want it on a Sundae?"
which brings of course discussion... "so it is good for your lunch but not for your Sundae..."
What is good on a Sunday? Then talk about the Lord's day Sunday and what is good and not so good. Have labels for your toppings like prayer, church, family time, scriptures, journal writing, visiting elderly ect. on your chocolate sprinkles and various other Sundae appropriate things.
I am excited to make up pictures and make this a lesson we can do more than once.
You can combine it with working together or patience lessons that make homemade ice cream in a ziplock bag too. My kids love that lesson.
This will be so much fun!!!!
