MicKey loSes a ToOth!!!

Here we have before and after pictures!
This is her first tooth and she is very proud of the grown up stage of loosing a tooth.
She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy. Mommy made a little pillow with a pocket to put her tooth inside! We patched some pretty fabrics together and added a ribbon to hang it up with!
Hurray for grown up steps!!
I was nearly this excited about my 1st discovered gray hair! Actually I am not kidding I was excited like I finally reached officially grown up stage of my life! I think we are both of us silly about how we measure growing up!!!

M-cat in the Spotlight!

With this darling picture you can imagine an angel!
Which does fly about from time to time.
M&M where is the mischievous grin you normally sport?
How about the grumpy pout or the stubborn stance that we see daily.
I'll do my chores only if I feel like it!!! Write my spelling words, how can you ask me to do such a thing? Your body language screams at me! What great defiance. Oh well, I guess what goes around comes around my mom would say!
Well lets just say I see those scenes too often to desire a photo op. of that!
Mickey, from birth you have wanted to do your way or no way! If I held your tiny 3 month old body in a cuddle you screamed to be turned about and released to see the world. At birth we would swaddle like they showed us at the hospital and you would fuss and squirm until you had wiggled out and were spread eagle arms and legs free of blankets, then fall blissfully asleep.
You love to play. Even at 6 months alone in your play pen you babbled and sat and entertained yourself. Gosh you can still do that!

You LOVE to Talk!!!!!!! In fact with your talk, a shreik from JuJu and lil's singing my ears really get tired I Love how you are reading better and better everyday! I love reading time with you on the couch. I suppose it is a s close to the reall mommy daughter snuggle as I can get.
I love your tea party voice with is's faux Britan accent!!!
Awe Hah! There is the Mischievous face we know!!! This is the one to watch out for!
What silly out of control idea are you hatching and which sister are you going to blame it on this time!

JuJu in the Spot light!

She is naturally curious.

This little girl loves to seek out and find, explore, finding the adventure.
Next to that her favorite place is on my lap!
She loves to sit with her mom. Which is new to me because her older sister is so independent (from birth).
Her vocabulary is growing leaps and bounds everyday!
When she doesn't know how something works, her face is full of wonder and she will manipulate it until she can see more of figure it out.
She is loving her nursery class now that she knows we always come back for her.
Her Strawberry hair is so pretty we hope it stays that shade. But more likely she will brown out. Poor girl- but mom can help her fix that later, hee hee.
Her biggest dislike is when her siblings & cousins exclude her because she is smaller than them. This leads to huge fights. Let me tell you JuJu can pretty much hold her own!
Here is a link to some cute pictures I took of her in a outfit I made for her.

Lilypad in the Spotlight

I saw another woman's blog and she did a bit about each of her children. Then I saw another similar idea that my friend Andrea did. I thought it was really neat to have a special bit about each of your beloved children.

Lilypad~ nickname given by grandma P.
She came to earth bringing Joy and Sweetness! In fact a sweetness that I had never known before! I had no post-pardum depression and had instant love for her! What a delight and a miracle!! My peacemaker bringing Peace to my heart!
She likes to sing! Her high little voice sings songs all day! Why is it the things we love about someone can also drive us crazy. (sometimes my ears crave silence LOL)
Her favorite color was Cinderella Blue, but now it is Cinderella Yellow!
She loves her Ballet and Tap lessons. She is adorable when she performs!
She can write some of her letters and writes her name on everything! At least her version of it with all the letters out of order! But they are there! She actually added a second Y, and when I asked her she said "Becuz I lub dat ledder"
I Love her voice, baby lisp and all! I almost hope she never looses it! (but at 16 she won't like it I'm guessing)
She wants to do all that she can and be just as good and grown up as Mickey!
The other day I saw her flipping through my scriptures pretending to read them aloud. She'd say "And it came to pass" and then make up a verse about Jesus and God and turn another page and say "And it came to pass" and do it all again with a new made up verse it was totally adorable!!
I can't believe she will be turning 4 this year!! Yikes how time speeds up when you are grown!!
Little Lil, I love you!

Fond Farewell!

Today was President Gordon B. Hinckley's funeral service. L. and I gathered our children around us and told them we would be saying farewell to our beloved prophet. We then sat downa nd watched the funeral services on the BYU TV internet network live broadcast.
Last Sunday we received the news of his passing. L. gathered the family and shared the news. Then we had a special family prayer. As he said the prayer, my eyes were closed and yet I could clearly see an image of our prophet in his dark suit walking waving and smiling, and saying hellos to those along his path. Then I understood that they were all those who he served with that had passed on before him and then I saw him hug and embrace his wife. I was filled with happiness and sorrow, a bittersweet feeling.
Next I recalled vividly that earlier that very day I gave the gospel Principles lesson on Prophets and God's pattern for calling prophets. When I was teaching that lesson I distinctly thought. This is a good lesson to give when a prophet dies and another is called to that place. WOW... I was filled with awe at the timing of it. Of course it is God's timing! He knew he was calling his son home after a life of love, service and devotion. He knew that lesson needed to be given at that time! As I gave that lesson I felt so strongly to encourage everyone to gain a personal testimony and witness from God that he has called our prophet today. Now we all can take that to a new prophet as we respectfully, tearfully, with hearts full of gratitude for his life's work and great love, bid farewell to President Hinckley until we meet again.
